Meet Our Team

Matt Sumpter

Matt Sumpter Managing Director

Matt was born and raised locally in Raunds attending the Raunds Park Infants, St Peters C of E and Raunds Manor schools. After leaving school and working for a local bank for some years, Matt entered the estate agency industry in 1990, learning his trade during the tough property market of the early 90’s. After going on to work at managerial level throughout Leicestershire for the countries largest estate agency chain, Matt and a friend set up a successful estate agency called Hind Estates which is still the towns leading agency in Lutterworth where it is based. After some very enjoyable and fulfilling years at Hind Estates, Matt decided to leave the partnership and 'go it alone' by returning to his roots in Raunds and opening Magenta with his wife Dee around 15 years ago. Their ethos of hard work, honest advice and complete dedication has meant that Magenta is now a well-respected and leading name within the industry. Matt comments. “At Magenta, we are passionate about our business and bring an energy and commitment to every single transaction; we never forget that our success is entirely dependent on exceeding, not just meeting, our customers’ expectations.” Self-confessed petrol-head Matt now lives in Market Harborough with his wife Dee, their two teenage children, Holly the Shih Tzu and can often be seen on a Sunday morning furtively buffing his beloved Nismo!

Dee Sumpter

Dee Sumpter Sales Support (Director)

Like her husband Matt, Dee grew up locally in Raunds attending the Windmill Primary School and then Bishop Stopford School in Kettering. Dee went on to gain a BA Honours degree at De Montfort University in Business Studies (majoring in French and German) which helped her secure a sales role at an American-owned musical instrument manufacturer after graduating. During her 10 years there, Dee was responsible for dealing with their European clients including regular overseas trips all of which helped Dee attain the coveted title of ‘European Sales Representative of the Year’. After then starting a family and looking after their two children, Dee is now heavily involved in the day-to-day running of Magenta and offers crucial sales support within our offices. In her spare time (if there is such a thing when having two children and helping to run Magenta!) Dee relishes a good challenge and has enjoyed raising money for charity by running the Great North Run (twice!) and now has her sights firmly set on completing the London Marathon. However, she also likes nothing more than to curl up on the sofa on an evening with her husband Matt and her Kobo!

An Essex girl at heart being born and raised in a small village in the county, Julia begun her working life in London arranging student travel for many years. A move to Surrey took her to British Oxygen where she was responsible for the business travel of it’s executives. A keenness to work hard and learn all aspects of the business were rewarded by promotion to Senior Negotiator and then to Branch Manager for one of their largest branches. Relocating to Raunds in May 2015, Julia is now delighted to be part of Magenta to support the strong and friendly team.
